Headroom Notes

100 dB per speaker at 1 m with sine bursts; 109 dB with IEC-weighted noise. At a normal 1.2 m desk distance the sine-burst number is the honest ceiling, and 100 dB is enough for mixing but leaves little room above a loud reference track.

Amplification Warning

The same 9 kΩ / 3.3 kΩ input pair as the A7V, and the same amplifier module — 110 W peak on the woofer, 20 W on the tweeter. The A4V is not an electrically de-rated A7V; it is the same electronics behind a 4-inch woofer, which is where the 5 dB of level goes.
