Gain Staging Advice
69 dB is a lot of gain for a module with no continuous trim of its own: the fine adjustment has to happen either at the microphone (pad) or at whatever the module feeds.
Production Warning
There is no instrument input and no output jack: the 312 is only usable inside a 500-series rack or an API console. Bought as a "preamp" without a rack it does nothing at all.
