Gain Staging Advice
The published noise range is the honest part of the sheet: -129 dBu at high gain against -105 dBu at low. The same box is quiet or noisy depending on where you set it, and on a dynamic microphone you will hear the difference as hiss.
Production Warning
Retail listings for the Tube MP family routinely quote gain figures the maker does not print. Here ART's own table says "54dB - 79dB", while the sister model Tube MP Studio V3 is given as "50 dB - 60 dB" on the same site — two boxes from one family, two different published ranges.

The table lists two values in every row — one for the XLR input, one for the 1/4" input — separated by a comma, but the gain row uses an en dash instead, so the two numbers can be read as a range or as one figure per input. Nothing on the page says which. The catalogue takes the upper figure, 79 dB, and a buyer comparing this box with a preamp that publishes a single unambiguous gain should know that these two numbers are not the same kind of statement.
