Gain Staging Advice

0.8 mV/Pa is -61.94 dBV/Pa - 9.5 dB quieter than the ND76 in the same brochure and 6 dB below an SM57. Inside a kick that is deliberate and correct. Outside one it is a trap: this is a microphone that will make a modest interface hiss audibly if you point it at anything conversational. The 150 ohm output is the compensation - it drives long cable runs without complaint.
