Gain Staging Advice
Same 69 dB / -127 dBu preamp as the 2i2, but the headphone amp is a different part: 11 Ohm output impedance instead of 50, and 57 mW into 33 Ohm. If you drive in-ears from the interface, this is the one of the two that stays neutral.
Production Warning
Focusrite specifies 1.5 A at 5 V (7.5 W) for this unit - three times what a plain USB 2.0 port is required to deliver. On old USB-A ports or unpowered hubs expect dropouts rather than a clean refusal to start.
