Genelec's headline peak figure is measured for two speakers playing together, and the row says so. Two coherent sources add up to about 6 dB over one, but how much of that you actually get depends on their spacing and on the listening position, so the number cannot be converted to a per-speaker figure afterwards. The same table's short-term row is the per-speaker, on-axis, half-space number, and that is the one that can be lined up against another maker's per-speaker figure. On the 8010A the same row also names a placement — «on top of console» — which adds boundary gain on top of the pair coupling.

In one block of text on the 8050B page, Genelec describes the 8030A and 8040A with the words «Peak SPL per pair is 108dB» and «Peak SPL per pair is 115dB», and then the 8050A with «Peak SPL is 120dB» — the qualifier «per pair» dropped from the third sentence of the same paragraph series. The specification table further down the same page restores it: «Maximum peak acoustic output per pair at 1 m distance with music material». Read on its own, the prose sentence states a per-speaker capability that the table does not claim.
