The number carried here is the short-term maximum, >=104 dB: one speaker, on axis, in half space, sine wave, averaged 100 Hz to 3 kHz. The same table's peak figure of >=110 dB is for a pair with music material, and the long-term >=96 dB is IEC-weighted noise with the driver protection active. Three rows, three definitions, 14 dB between the extremes - and only the middle one compares with another maker's per-speaker figure.
