- En: 500-series 1073-style module with a -10 to +80 dB gain range, switchable 1200 Ω / 300 Ω mic input impedance, an AIR switch (6 dB lift centred at 30 kHz), a two-position high-pass filter at 45 or 180 Hz, and a fully floating transformer output that will drive a 600 Ω load to about 28 dBu. Gain Staging Advice
The gain range starts below zero: -10 dB is an attenuation position, so the useful stepped range on a loud source is not the full 90 dB span the two numbers suggest.
Production Warning
This is a module, not a box: it has no power supply of its own and no output connector of its own — both come from the 500-series rack, and the rack is also what supplies the 48 V that the front-panel switch sends to the microphone.
