Gain Staging Advice
55 dB of gain with a +1.5 dBu ceiling is the standard budget-interface shape: fine for condensers and for anything with an output above about -50 dBV, tight for an SM7B or an RE20 at conversational level. The headphone amp's output impedance is published — 10 Ω — but neither its voltage nor its power is, so how loud it goes is not answerable from M-Audio's data.
