Tonal Profile

A 2DD + 4BA hybrid: two dynamic drivers for bass, four balanced armatures above. We file it as Dynamic because that is what the low end is, but the four armatures are what makes the load interesting — a crossover plus armature drivers gives an impedance curve that swings well away from the nominal 14.8 Ω.

Amplification Warning

Nominal 14.8 Ω is the value at 1 kHz, not the load. With a crossover in front of four armatures the curve is not flat, and a source with a couple of ohms of output impedance will audibly re-tune the earphone. This is the model in the batch where a low-output-impedance source matters most.
