Tonal Profile

The first Chu had a fixed cable and 28 Ω; Chu II moved to a detachable 2-pin and dropped to 18 Ω. The lower impedance matters more than the price: an 18 Ω load in front of a laptop jack with 30–50 Ω of output impedance loses roughly 5–7 dB and, worse, follows the driver's impedance curve instead of the signal.
