Headroom Notes

NAD writes one line for both loads: 'Continuous output power into 8 ohms and 4 ohms - 100W (ref. 20 Hz-20 kHz at rated THD, both channels driven)', and the rated THD is given below it as <0.03 % from 250 mW to 100 W into 8 and 4 ohms. A rating that holds from a quarter of a watt to full power on both loads is a stronger statement than a larger number measured at one frequency.

Thermal Behavior

The 4 ohm allowance is not a separate sentence anywhere: it is inside the label of the power row. IHF dynamic power is quoted for 8 ohms only, and peak output current >20 A into 1 ohm for 1 ms says more about the supply than either.
