Headroom Notes

Raspberry Pi is one of the few host makers that publishes the downstream budget instead of the input rating: "5 V at 5 A (25W); or 5 V at 3 A (15 W) with a 600 mA peripheral limit". The 600 mA is the total for all four USB ports together, not per port, and it is what a board fed by an ordinary 15 W supply has to share between an interface, a keyboard and a drive. The 25 W supply raises it; the documentation page states the 600 mA case explicitly and that is the number recorded here.

Production Warning

The Pi 5 has no analogue audio output at all — the 3.5 mm AV jack of the Pi 4 and earlier boards is gone. Every headphone on a Pi 5 goes through USB or HDMI, so the host's own headphone output is not "unpublished" here, it does not exist.
