Tonal Profile

Externally biased 1-inch capsule, cardioid, 20 Hz to 20 kHz, 5 dB(A) self-noise. Not the same microphone as the current NT1 5th Gen despite the shared name and body.

Gain Staging Advice

-32 dBV/Pa +/- 2 dB. The tolerance is worth reading: two NT1-A bodies can differ by up to 4 dB from each other, which is more than the gap between an SM58 and an SM57.
