50 W per channel, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, <0.03 % THD, 8 ohms — one rating, one set of conditions, no second marketing number anywhere on the sheet. Rotel publishes no 4 ohm power figure at all, so the load capability has to be read from the FAQ rather than the spec table.

Thermal Behavior

The chassis is silkscreened SPEAKER IMPEDANCE 8 OHMS NOMINAL, which reads like an 8 ohm-only restriction but is not one. Rotel's own FAQ: 4 ohm speakers are fine 'but only if 1 pair of 4 ohm speakers is connected to the unit. If 2 pairs of speakers are to be used ... using the speakers A and B terminals, they must both be 8 ohm'. So the A+B terminals halve the load and 4 ohm pairs may not be doubled up.
