Tonal Profile
The switchable sibling of the KSM137: a mechanical, not electronic, pattern change - the ring moves an acoustic element rather than re-polarising a diaphragm, which is why the omni is a true pressure omni rather than a widened cardioid.
Gain Staging Advice
-37 dBV/Pa and 14 dB SPL-A. Both attenuator steps are large - 15 and 25 dB - so on a drum overhead you rarely need any preamp trim at all.

The KSM141 has a mechanical ring that switches between cardioid and true omnidirectional, and one sensitivity and one self-noise figure of 14 dB SPL-A cover both. The same two numbers, and the same 150-ohm output impedance and 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio, are also printed in the guide for the cardioid-only KSM137. Three different acoustic configurations, one set of figures.
