Tonal Profile

A cardioid handheld built to sit under an SM58 in price, with the presence lift moved a little lower and a softer top. The important difference from the PGA48 above it in the same family is electrical, not tonal: 150 ohms out instead of 600.

Gain Staging Advice

-55.0 dBV/Pa sits half a decibel below an SM58 and one decibel above an SM57 - a stage preamp that copes with either copes with this. It is a genuinely easy load: 150 ohms into any modern input, and long cable runs cost nothing.
