Headroom Notes
The two headphone figures do not quite agree: 25 Vpp at high gain is 8.84 V RMS, while 250 mW into 300 ohms implies 8.66 V. The lower is recorded. At 32 ohms the amplifier delivers 1800 mW, which is 7.59 V — so the DX5 is voltage-limited above roughly 100 ohms and current-limited below it.
Amplification Warning
Topping prints identical columns for the 6.35 mm and the 4-pin XLR headphone jacks — same power, same voltage, same output impedance. On this model the balanced socket is wired to the same amplifier and buys no extra drive, only a different connector.
