Gain Staging Advice
A passive DI hands the preamp a signal about 20 dB quieter than the instrument; this one hands it a signal 3 dB louder. Swapping one for the other mid-session moves the required preamp gain by more than 20 dB, which is the whole difference between a clean take and a noisy one.
Production Warning
Triton state that the circuit runs on 48 V phantom but say nothing about what reaches the XLR output pin-wise, so this catalogue leaves the pass-through unknown. On an instrument DI it rarely matters — but it is not the same as knowing.
