Headroom Notes

This is the rare case in the class where the power figure arrives with its conditions attached: 'Power Output (THD = 0.08%, two channels driven): 100 W per channel @ 8 ohms, 200 W per channel @ 4 ohms'. Distortion limit and channels driven are both named, which makes the number comparable with a conventional integrated amplifier's rating. Two TPA3255 chips with post-filter feedback, and a published damping factor of 94.

Thermal Behavior

The published impedance range is 2 - 8 ohms, the lowest of the three WiiM amplifiers and lower than any of the AV receivers in this batch. Note the upper end: 8 ohms, not 16 - WiiM does not claim the unit is specified for higher-impedance vintage speakers.
