Tonal Profile
The entry into the Diana chassis: ABYSS says outright that the low speaker impedance is there to work with portable, battery-powered electronics - a rare case of a manufacturer explaining why it picked an impedance.
What the datasheet actually says
Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.
«Impedance: 30 ohms | Sensitivity: 93 dB/mw»
ABYSS publishes 30 ohms and 93 dB/mW for both the Diana MRx and the JOAL, two headphones the same pages describe as using different 63 mm transducers and sell at different prices. The JOAL page spells the unit 'dB/mw'; the AB-1266 page spells it 'db/mW'. Neither is the SI symbol, which is dB/mW - the lower-case m is milli and the upper-case W is watt.
