Gain Staging Advice
The published -20 dB and the published 110:1 impedance ratio agree with each other: a 110:1 impedance ratio is an 10.5:1 voltage ratio, that is -20.4 dB. It is rare to be able to check a DI's loss against its own second number, and here it checks out.
Production Warning
Passive: phantom power neither helps nor harms it. Level is recovered on the preamp behind it, which for a quiet passive pickup means running that preamp 20 dB higher than you otherwise would.
