Headroom Notes

150 W into 8 ohms and 250 W into 4 ohms. The published distortion figure, 0.0011 %, is measured at 1 W - a 150 W amplifier's behaviour at one watt says nothing about its behaviour near clipping, so it is not recorded against either power rating.

Thermal Behavior

4 and 8 ohm speakers are both supported, per the shared Evo manual. Note the power ratio between the loads is 1.67, not 2 - the class D module runs out of supply before it runs out of current.

This is a 150 watt amplifier and the distortion figure is taken at one watt - roughly 0.7 % of rated output. Distortion in a class D output stage is lowest in the middle of its range and rises towards clipping, so a one-watt figure is the most flattering point on the curve and cannot be compared with a manufacturer that quotes distortion at rated power.
