Tonal Profile
Wireless, USB and analogue in one shell. The 3.5 mm jack is a true passive path — it works with the battery dead — which is why the headset belongs in this catalogue while a Bluetooth-only model does not.
Amplification Warning
In analogue mode you lose the internal amplifier's fixed gain, so the headset plays noticeably quieter than over the dongle, and you lose the software EQ that Corsair ships as part of the intended tuning. Nothing about the drivers changes; expect the same tonality at a lower level.

Headphone impedance is conventionally quoted at 1 kHz; Corsair quotes this one at 2.5 kHz, and prints «32 Ohms @ 1 kHz» on its HS pages. For a dynamic driver the impedance curve is not flat — it peaks at the bass resonance, typically around 60–150 Hz, where it can be several times the nominal value. A figure taken at 2.5 kHz sits on the flat part of the curve and therefore says the least about the region where a high-output-impedance source actually changes the tonal balance.
