Tonal Profile
Closed, 415 g, 23 ohms. A closed planar with a flat impedance curve is the one case where a high-output-impedance source does no harm beyond volume - useful, because the amplifiers people pair with it are often tube designs with several ohms of output impedance.
What the datasheet actually says
Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.
«Impedance | 23ohms | Sensitivity | ~90 dB/mW | Frequency response | Yes, it has one»
The tilde is Dan Clark Audio's own: the sensitivity is published as an approximation, with no measurement point, coupler or tolerance given, and the frequency-response row of the same table carries a joke instead of a number. The identical '~90 dB/mW' appears on E3, EXPANSE and STEALTH, three headphones the same pages describe as having different drivers, different backs and impedances of 27, 26 and 23 ohms.
