Headroom Notes

Both published ratings are kept here, because only together do they mean anything. 95 W is into 8 ohms over the full 20 Hz - 20 kHz band at 0.08 % THD; 125 W is into 6 ohms at a single 1 kHz tone and nearly nine times the distortion. The box and the shop listing quote the second one. Neither is measured with all seven channels working, which is the state a 7.2 system actually plays in.

Thermal Behavior

Rated 4 - 16 ohms in the specification block, which is one step lower than the 6 ohm floor usually assumed at this price. That allowance describes the receiver, not the speaker: a nominal 4 ohm box whose impedance dips to 2.5 ohms is still outside it.

What the datasheet actually says

Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.

Measurement conditions
«95 W + 95 W (8 Ω/ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz with 0.08 % T.H.D.) / 125 W + 125 W (6 Ω/ohms, 1 kHz with 0.7 % T.H.D.)»

One amplifier, two power figures, three measurement conditions changed at once: the load drops from 8 to 6 ohms, the signal shrinks from the whole audio band to a single 1 kHz tone, and the allowed distortion rises from 0.08 % to 0.7 %. The 125 W is the number printed on the carton and repeated by every shop; the 95 W is the one you can compare with an integrated amplifier's rating. Neither is measured with all seven channels driven, so the figure that applies to a real 7.2 film soundtrack is published nowhere.
