Headroom Notes

The figures recorded are the row for the DC 32V/5A adapter, which is the supply included at the listed price: 65 W into 8 ohms, 71 W into 6, 78 W into 4. Paying twenty dollars more for the 48V/5A adapter moves the same amplifier to 102 / 110 / 120 W. The headline 'Max. output power: 300W*2 (4Ω)' belongs to a 48V/10A supply that is not sold with this model at all.

Thermal Behavior

'Matched speaker impedance: 4-8Ω'. There is also a headphone output rated 500 mW into 32 ohms with a 16 - 600 ohm load range, which is a real specification and rare at this price.

What the datasheet actually says

Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.

The maker’s own documents disagree
«Max. output power: 300W*2 (4Ω) … Power Output Table of Douk Audio A5 PRO … 32V/5A | 4Ω | 78W+78W … 48V/10A | 4Ω | 250W+250W»

The same page carries a 300 W per channel headline and a table in which the highest 4 ohm figure is 250 W per channel, reached only with a DC 48V/10A supply. The supplies actually sold with this amplifier are 32V/5A and 48V/5A, giving 78 W and 120 W per channel into 4 ohms. The gap between the headline and the configuration a buyer receives is roughly a factor of four.
