104 dB peak at 1 m, and Focal says «peak» explicitly, which is more than most competitors at this price manage. A peak figure is not a working level: with a typical 12–15 dB programme crest factor this monitor sustains something closer to 90 dB, which is still louder than a domestic room needs.

Amplification Warning

All three inputs are 10 kΩ, including the RCA — Focal notes it carries «compensanted sensitivity» (their spelling), meaning the unbalanced path is level-matched rather than simply 6 dB quieter. That is unusual at this price and removes the commonest cause of a channel imbalance when someone feeds one monitor by XLR and the other by RCA.
