89.5 dB at 2.83 V / 1 m — but that scale is printed only in the downloadable product sheet. The product page on focal.com gives the same 89.5 dB with no unit and no measurement condition at all, so the number that reaches a calculator depends entirely on which of the two documents you happened to open. We source the figure from the PDF for that reason.
Amplification Warning
8 Ω nominal with a 4.5 Ω minimum is the mildest passive load in this batch — the dip stays above half the nominal, which is what IEC 60268-5 asks of an 8-ohm declaration and what most speakers here do not manage. An honest 40 W integrated amplifier is enough.
What the datasheet actually says
Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.
«Sensitivity : 89.5 dB»
The focal.com product page prints the sensitivity with no scale at all: not dB/W/m, not dB at 2.83 V, and no distance. The downloadable product sheet for the same speaker gives «Sensitivity (2.83V/1m) 89.5dB». Because the Vestia N°1 is an 8-ohm nominal design the two readings happen to coincide, so nothing is lost here — but the same page template is used across the Focal range, including models whose nominal load makes the two scales differ by up to 3 dB. Take the figure from the PDF, not the web page.
