Tonal Profile

The ear-clip built on the same electrical platform as the Porta Pro: 60 Ω, 101 dB SPL/1mW, 15–25 000 Hz, and a published THD of under 0.2 %. Koss quotes identical numbers for both, which for once is credible — the two are widely understood to share a driver.

Amplification Warning

Nothing in a normal signal chain has trouble with this. The reason people still put these on desktop amplifiers is the 60 Ω load's indifference to a high output impedance, not any need for power.
