Sold as a slimline stereo receiver with HDMI, but the amplifier section is rated the way Marantz rates its AV receivers: 75 W into 8 ohms over the full band, 100 W into 6 ohms at 1 kHz with nine times the distortion. The round hundred is the number on the carton.
What the datasheet actually says
Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.
«Rated output: 75 W + 75 W (8 Ω/ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz with 0.08 % T.H.D.) 100 W + 100 W (6 Ω/ohms, 1 kHz with 0.7 % T.H.D.)»
The two figures are not the same measurement made twice. Between them the load drops from 8 to 6 ohms, the test signal shrinks from the whole audio band to one 1 kHz tone, and the permitted distortion rises from 0.08 % to 0.7 %. Only the 75 W figure can be compared with an integrated amplifier's full-band rating.
