Tonal Profile

One of the few gaming headsets whose datasheet names the unit: 100 dB SPL/mW at 32 Ω. That is the reference point for reading the rest of this category — most competitors print a bare «dB» and leave you guessing.

Amplification Warning

32 Ω and 100 dB/mW means about 114 dB from one volt: any motherboard jack, phone or laptop drives this to painful levels. The bundled USB sound card is there for the microphone and THX processing, not because the drivers need power. Buying an amplifier for this headset buys you nothing but a lower noise floor.
