Gain Staging Advice
Mic and DI gain are two different ranges on the same module (66 dB and 30 dB). A bass going into the DI needs the interface trimmed down, not up — the module already has a compressor after it.
Production Warning
The thru jack is passive: it carries the instrument signal on to an amplifier whether the module is powered or not, which is what you want on stage and a trap in the studio if you forget it is connected.
