Same 44 Ohms as the SRH440 but 3 dB less sensitive on the spec sheet — and 5 dB less than what Shure's own product page reports for it. That disagreement is documented below; the calculator uses the spec sheet, because it is the document that names the unit.

Shure publishes two sensitivities for the SRH840. The product page carries a machine-readable spec block giving 97, while Shure's own SRH840 spec sheet prints «Sensitivity (@ 1 kHz) 102 dB/mW». Driver size, impedance, power handling and frequency range agree exactly between the two documents; only sensitivity differs, by 5 dB. Five decibels is the difference between an interface having 3 dB of headroom and having none, so this is not a rounding disagreement. We use 102 dB/mW because the spec sheet states the unit and the reference frequency; the page states neither.
