Amplification Warning

Three 16 cm woofers in parallel below 310 Hz, 92 dB/W/m, minimum 3.3 ohms. The extra woofer over the BR08 raises the minimum slightly rather than lowering it, because the lower crossover point is higher and the array hands over sooner. Still an amplifier that must be comfortable into 4 ohms.

Triangle defines its nominal impedance as the value measured at 1 kHz. That is not what nominal impedance means under IEC 60268-5, where the nominal value is a declared rating tied to the minimum of the impedance modulus across the working band, not a reading at one frequency. At 1 kHz most two-way cabinets sit near a local maximum between the bass resonance and the crossover, so a 1 kHz reading falls systematically on the flattering part of the curve. The company does print the true minimum in the row below, which is more than most of the industry does — read that number, not the 8 ohms.
