Gain Staging Advice
43 dB is the lowest gain in this batch and the -0.8 dBu ceiling is the lowest input ceiling. That combination is fine for a condenser at a foot's distance and unusable for a dynamic broadcast microphone: an SM7B at speaking level needs about 60 dB, so seventeen decibels have to come from somewhere else.
What the datasheet actually says

Equivalent input noise is a voltage referred to the input, so it is meaningless without a reference: -120 dBu is a level against 0.775 V, a bare 'dB' names nothing. The marketing text higher up the same page writes the same figure as 'less than -120 dBu EIN'. Every other level in the same table is given in dBu, and the table's own footnote defines 0 dBu = 0.775 Vrms, so the catalogue stores the figure as dBu.
