Gain Staging Advice
50 dB is the lowest ceiling in this batch. With an SM7B you are 10-15 dB short and the -126 dBu EIN means the shortfall arrives as hiss, not as silence. This interface wants condensers or a booster in front of the dynamic.
Amplification Warning
PreSonus states a headphone working range of 32 to 300 Ohm and gives level only as 47 mW into 56 Ohm - about 1.6 V. That is under two volts: 250-300 Ohm studio headphones will play, but quietly.
