Headroom Notes

35 W into 8 ohms; Cambridge quotes THD under 0.15 % across 20 Hz - 20 kHz at 80 % of rated power (under 0.01 % at 1 kHz). The 0.15 % figure is used here because it is the full-bandwidth one.

Thermal Behavior

The strictest load rating in this batch, and it comes from a stereo integrated rather than a cheap receiver. Cambridge's own manual, under 'Getting connected', says plainly: 'Check the impedance of your speakers. You can use speakers with an impedance of 8 Ohms.' There is no 4 ohm or 6 ohm allowance anywhere in the documentation, and no 4 ohm power rating is published. Most bookshelf speakers sold alongside it are nominal 6 ohms or 4 ohms, which puts the usual shop pairing outside spec.
