Headroom Notes

The widest gap in this batch. Onkyo's US sheet lists both numbers side by side: 210 W per channel at 6 ohms, 1 kHz, 10 % THD, one channel driven — and 100 W per channel at 8 ohms, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08 % THD, two channels driven, FTC. The same amplifier, 2.1x apart. The European sheet for the identical receiver prints only the 165 W IEC figure (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 1 %, one channel), so a buyer comparing an EU listing with a US one sees two receivers that do not exist.

Thermal Behavior

Speaker impedance 4 - 16 ohms. Dynamic power is quoted down to 3 ohms (240 W front), which is a real indication of current capability rather than a marketing line.
