Expert Audio Engineering Commentary

Tonal Profile

14 mm supercardioid electret, USB-C only, 24-bit/96 kHz. One of the few USB microphones in this price class that publishes an acoustic sensitivity rather than a converter number.

Gain Staging Advice

Razer publishes no preamp gain figure, so the calculator falls back to a typical 36 dB and says so. Impedance, THD and signal-to-noise are printed as "None" on the same table, which is the manufacturer's way of saying not specified.

What the datasheet actually says

Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.

Unit not stated
«Sensitivity: -36 dB (1 V / Pa at 1 kHz)»

The unit is written as plain dB and the reference lives in the bracket. Read as dBV/Pa it is a normal electret capsule figure, and that is how we store it. It is worth saying out loud because most USB microphones in this class publish dBFS instead - a converter scale that includes the built-in preamp and cannot be compared with this number at all.
