Tonal Profile
Omnidirectional electret lavalier on a TRRS plug, aimed at phones and at the MOTIV apps. 350 ohm output, which is low for a lavalier and tolerant of long cable.
Gain Staging Advice
-44 dBV/Pa puts it between a condenser and a dynamic. Shure publishes no self-noise for it, so that field stays empty.
What the datasheet actually says
Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.
«"sensitivity_mvpa":[["6.30"]],"sensitivity_dbvpa":[["-44.00"]] ... "sensitivity_dbfspa":"-44.0"»
The product data embedded in this page carries three sensitivity fields, and the same figure sits in two of them: -44.00 as dBV/Pa and -44.0 as dBFS/Pa. The MVL is an analogue lavalier on a TRRS plug with no converter of its own, so a full-scale figure does not exist for it; and where a device does have both, the two never coincide - Shure's own MV7 publishes -55 dBV/Pa alongside -33.0 dBFS/Pa. The dBV/Pa value agrees with the published 6.30 mV/Pa and is the one we store.
