Tonal Profile
The short-body drum microphone of the PG Alta line, aimed at toms and snare. At -57 dBV/Pa it is the quietest of the three PGA instrument models, 2 dB below the PGA52 and 0.5 dB below the PGA57.
Gain Staging Advice
200 ohms of source impedance against the 150 of its siblings - a difference of no practical consequence for any preamp with a 1.5 kilohm or higher input, and the reason to check is that Shure varies this figure model by model inside one series rather than printing one number for the family.
