Gain Staging Advice
The largest Volt still has the same 55 dB preamp as the smallest. What the extra money buys is I/O and the 76 compressor per channel, not gain or a lower noise floor.
Production Warning
Unlike the rest of the line, the 476 ships with a 5 V power supply and Universal Audio states it 'may work from USB bus power, but only in limited configurations'. Treat it as a mains-powered device.
