Gain Staging Advice
+25 dB in front of the interface means the interface preamp works 25 dB lower, where its own noise no longer matters. Two channels also means two phantom supplies drawn from the same interface.
Production Warning
The CL-2 eats phantom power to run and does not pass it on: Cloud state plainly that it "doesn't pass phantom power". A condenser or an active ribbon plugged into it gets no 48 V and stays silent. This box is for passive dynamics and passive ribbons only — the most common mis-purchase in the category.
