Tonal Profile
High-efficiency 1" titanium LTS vented tweeter on a 90x90 Tractrix horn over a 6.5" Cerametallic woofer, crossed at 1500 Hz. By the sensitivity figure it is the easiest load in its price class to drive; by the datasheet it is also the least described, because the impedance row states compatibility rather than a measured value.
Amplification Warning
The spec sheet's row is headed 'NOMINAL IMPEDANCE' and its value is '8 Ohms Compatible'. We record 8 ohms because that is the only load figure Klipsch prints, but the sheet gives no impedance minimum, so the dip an amplifier actually sees is not published anywhere. Horn tweeters also reveal hiss from cheap sources that domes would hide.
Acoustic Characteristics
94.5 dB is the highest sensitivity in this class by about five decibels, and the asterisk on it matters: Klipsch measures half-space, which adds roughly 3 dB over the free-field figure most of the category publishes. Power handling is given as 100 W continuous / 400 W peak — what the speaker absorbs, not a recommended amplifier range.

The row label names a nominal impedance; the value states compatibility with 8-ohm outputs. A compatibility claim is about what an amplifier may drive, not about the load the speaker presents, and no nominal or minimum figure appears anywhere else on the sheet. The 8 ohms in this database is that string and nothing stronger.

Half-space anechoic and in-room are two different conditions, and the footnote asserts both for one number. Half-space adds about 3 dB over the free-field measurement the rest of this category publishes. The same footnote appears across the Reference Premiere series, including RP-500M II — it is the series wording, not a slip on one sheet.
