Headroom Notes
88 dB is quoted at 2.83 V into a 6-ohm nominal load, i.e. 1.33 W. On a true one-watt basis it is closer to 86.8 dB, which puts it level with the 8-ohm KEFs rather than 2 dB ahead of them as the raw numbers suggest.
Amplification Warning
Two things in this datasheet are worth reading literally. First, the impedance line does not say "nominal" — it says "Average impedance: 6 Ohms", with a separate minimum of 4 ohms. An average is not a floor, and the floor is what the amplifier meets. Second, Q Acoustics prints two different power windows for the same speaker: 25-75 W for a stereo amplifier and 50-145 W for an AV receiver with two channels driven. The stereo figure is the conservative one and is what this entry carries.
