Gain Staging Advice
Output noise 9 µV (A-weighted) and max output 8.3 dBV at 0.5 % THD: with a hot source the 28 dB can push a sensitive interface input toward its own ceiling, so trim the interface, not the box.
Production Warning
The DM1 draws 48 V phantom to run and does not pass it to the microphone. sE state it directly: "not suitable for phantom-powered microphones (condenser microphones, active ribbon microphones)". Passive mics only.
