Gain Staging Advice
18 dB, not 27: passing phantom through costs gain. If the microphone is passive and needs the maximum lift, the plain FetHead is the right part.
Production Warning
This is the exception that proves the rule: it takes phantom power and passes it on, so condensers and active ribbons work through it. Every other booster here does the opposite. Reading the model name is not enough — read what the box does with the 48 V.
