Gain staging

Volt 1 plus a hardware 1176-style compressor with three fixed presets (VOC 2 ms/300 ms, GTR 1.5 ms/700 ms, FAST 30 us/35 ms, all 6:1). The compressor sits after the preamp, so it does not add gain: the 55 dB ceiling is unchanged.
