Thermal Behavior

Speaker impedance is a menu setting, not a transformer tap: the Setup menu offers 6Ω MIN and 8Ω MIN only (U.S.A. and Canada models), with 8Ω MIN as the factory default. There is no 4-ohm setting, and Yamaha rates the receiver for 6-ohm or higher speakers.
